Mission and Vision

WREA Mission Statement

(Adopted September 2007)

The Wisconsin Retired Educators’ Association (WREA), an issue driven organization representing the interests of Wisconsin’s educational community, is committed to:

  • Monitoring and protecting Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension benefits
  • Continuing an effective legislative presence
  • Providing relevant retirement information
  • Advocating for high quality and effective public education
  • Promoting volunteerism and community service
  • Providing and improving exclusive member benefits and services
  • Collaborating with other organizations sharing similar interests, and
  • Having fun
