Q. Who is considered an active member of the WREA Foundation?
A. Contributors of $25 dollars or more within a fiscal year (October
1 - September 30) and lifetime members (Founders) will be recognized
as members in good standing of the Foundation for that year. To continue
as a member in good standing, additional $25 or more membership fees
must be paid in each successive year.
Q. Is the payment of membership fees cumulative to attain
a higher membership classification?
A. Yes, all contributions including membership fees, donations to
memorial funds, donations to honor events or individuals, charitable
gifts, etc., are cumulative.
Q. Must we join as individual members or can couples join
as members?
A. Although individual memberships ($25 or more) are encouraged, joint
contributions of spouses will accumulate to attain the Founder level
($2500 and up). However, for spouses to be considered active members
in any fiscal year, each spouse must pay a $25 or more membership
fee.
Q. What are the Foundation's assets?
A. The total assets are approximately $230,000. Included in that amount
is the $75,000 donation by WREA from the litigation reimbursement.
The balance is made up of membership dues, memorials and charitable
gifts.
Q. Can WREA units give to the Foundation?
A. Absolutely!
Q. Why should I become a member?
A. The WREA Foundation allows WREA to provide community outreach and
service. The projects of the Foundation complement the activities
of WREA and allow our Association to do more for other groups and
individuals.
